About Sandra Babu-Boateng
Sandra Babu-Boateng is a global strategist, media entrepreneur, and one of the leading voices helping audiences understand the profound geopolitical and economic shifts reshaping Africa, the Global South, and the future of global business.
As Founder and CEO of PanaGenius, she has built one of the fastest-growing media ecosystems connecting Africa and the global Black diaspora, reaching tens of millions of people each month through digital media, live experiences, research, and strategic convenings.
Sandra is the creator and host of The Breakdown on PanaGenius TV, an acclaimed global affairs podcast that goes beyond the headlines to explain what major political, economic, technological, and cultural shifts actually mean for leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and institutions, with a particular focus on Africa’s emergence as one of the defining growth stories of the 21st century.
She is also the author of the bestselling State of Africa Report, an annual strategic outlook examining the forces shaping the continent’s future—from industrialization and critical minerals to demographic change, digital transformation, capital flows, and global power realignment.
Beyond media, Sandra advises organizations and executive leaders on Africa strategy, diaspora engagement, narrative development, and emerging global opportunities. She is the architect behind internationally recognized platforms including the BlackStars Experience and CATAPULT 2050, bringing together leaders and policymakers to shape the future of Africa–Diaspora collaboration.
Sandra has interviewed presidents, cabinet ministers, Fortune 500 executives, economists, historians, and leading voices across business, technology, and international affairs. Her ability to connect seemingly unrelated global trends into clear strategic narratives has made her a sought-after keynote speaker for corporations, universities, governments, and international organizations.
Born in Ghana and raised in the United States, Sandra graduated valedictorian of her high school and earned a full scholarship to Syracuse University’s prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She holds a Master’s in Global Business Administration from Tufts University.
Whether speaking about the future of AI, global supply chains, workforce transformation, Africa’s economic rise, or the shifting balance of geopolitical power, Sandra equips audiences with a framework for understanding not just what is happening—but what comes next.
Her central message is simple:
The future belongs to those who can recognize change before everyone else does.
